Matthew R.K. Waterman is a seasoned attorney with more than 20 years' experience advising clients in bankruptcy matters. He is known primarily for successfully reorganizing small to medium sized businesses, often taking over and completing cases where other counsel have been unable to achieve positive resolution.
Mr. Waterman has been involved in many of the largest bankruptcy cases of the past 20 years, and has been lead counsel on the successful reorganizations of numerous businesses. He has represented secured and unsecured creditors, financial institutions, committees, trustees, examiners, asset purchasers, and defendants in avoidance actions. He has been appointed by Bankruptcy Courts as examiner and as a mediator.
Mr. Waterman has frequently lectured on issues of bankruptcy law, and will be drawing on his extensive experience in presenting a program on representing debtors in individual chapter 11 cases in October.
